Installation and Fit Options

For best results, we recommend Face Fit Full Blackout Cassette System.

If you choose Recess Fit, measure carefully at the top, middle, and bottom. Enter the smallest measurement for both width and drop.

We remove 2mm from width and drop for easy installation.

Sometimes, small adjustments using a file or grinder may be needed.

We recommend installing end covers on both Face and Recess Fit systems.

For Face Fit, the cassette should sit at least 8mm out from the front of the recess.

Small light gaps around Recess Fit blinds can be sealed with a bit of caulking (only behind side channels).
Extra Tips
-
The bottom base rail is made of aluminium. If your window sill isn’t level, it will sit on the highest point.

For hard-to-floor or doorway areas, choose Top and Side option – it’s easier to install and adjust.

You may see a little light along the bottom, which can be blocked using L aluminium, rubber, or timber, or left as is.

The cassette needs at least 90mm depth to fit fully in the recess. The minimum depth is 35mm.

Make sure there are no obstructions that stop the blind from operating.

Use Top and Sides if a bottom channel would block walkways or handles.

Side channels may block windows or doors that open inward, so check measurements and head clearance (especially for doors under 2040mm high).
Colour and Fabric Notes

We offer a pre-drilling service for easier DIY installation, but make sure you’ve chosen Face Fit or Recess Fit correctly.

There can be slight colour differences between fabric batches — this is normal.

The Blackout System comes in black, white, or anodised aluminium.

All blinds are for indoor use only.
Safety and Care

Screws are included only for side end covers, not for the main cassette or blind fixings.

Be careful when opening the packaging — sharp tools can damage the fabric. Keep packaging away from children.

Do not leave windows or doors open when blinds are down — wind can move the fabric like a sail and cause damage.
Safety Warnings

All blinds must meet ACCC child safety rules.

Blind cords can be dangerous — install them safely to avoid strangulation risks. Follow the instructions and watch our installation video for safety tips.

Alpha remote controls have lithium coin batteries — keep them away from children. If swallowed, they can cause serious injury or death. Seek urgent medical help immediately.
