CONFIGURATION
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
A key step before you start measuring is whether you would like your blinds inside the window frames (known as recess fit) or outside (known as face fit).
MEASURE - FACE FIT
MEASURING THE WIDTH
- Measure the exact width of the architrave.
- Add 50-100mm on both sides
MEASURING THE DROP
- Measure the drop from the top of the architrave to the floor exactly. take the minimum measurement (left middle, right)
FINISH ABOVE THE FLOOR
- We recommend measuring 50-100mm past the sill.(we will make exactly the provided width and drop )
FINISH TO THE FLOOR
- Please make a 10MM deduction on height if you are measureing up to the floor and give us size after deduction.
MEASURE - RECESS FIT
MEASURING THE DEPTH
- Before selecting recess fit, make sure you have the minimum depths for your blind type.
MEASURING THE WIDTH
- Measure the exact inside width in three different positions - the top, middle & bottom.
- Take the smallest measurement.
- Please make a total 10MM deduction from the width to easy fit.
MEASURING THE DROP
- Measure the exact inside recess height from the top to the bottom of the windowsill in three positions - the left, middle, & right.
- Take the smallest measurement.
- Please make a total of 10MM deduction from Drop for easy fit
BEFORE YOU BEGIN
There is a minimum depth requirement for vertical blinds.
- 135mm of depth for a 127mm slat
- 100mm depth for 89mm slats
- If you do not have enough depth, we advise a face fit.
