Plantation Shutter Installation Steps
1

Prepare the Frame

Open the box and carefully remove all shutter panels, frame pieces, hinge pins, and screws.

Lay the frame pieces on the floor according to their labels: L = Left, T = Top, R = Right, B = Bottom.

Connect the frame sides together using 25mm screws. Make sure all corners are aligned properly before tightening.

2

Construct and Position the Frame

Lift the assembled frame into the window opening or face-fit position.

Use a spirit level to check if the frame is square. If required, use packers or shims to adjust the frame until it sits perfectly square.

Once the frame is square, use the provided 60mm screws through the pre-drilled holes to secure the frame into position.

3

Hang the Shutter Panel

Place the shutter panel into the frame and align the hinges.

Insert the hinge pins to secure the shutter panel to the frame.

Open and close the shutter panels to check alignment. Make small adjustments if required so the panels operate smoothly.

4

Final Check

Check that all panels open and close freely without rubbing against the frame.

Check the gaps around the panels are even and the frame is sitting straight.

Once everything is aligned, tighten all screws securely and clean the shutter surface with a soft cloth.

Important Installation Tip

Do not fully tighten all screws until the frame is checked square and the shutter panels are hanging correctly. Small adjustments before final tightening will help achieve a clean and professional finish.
