Before You Begin
- Panel Blinds can only be face-fitted.
- Minimum of 3 panels and maximum of 5 panels.
- It is important to understand the size of panels before ordering.
Measuring
- Measure the exact width of the architrave. Add 50-100mm on both sides to your width.
- Measure the drop from the top of the architrave to where you would like the blind to finish. We recommend measuring
10-15mm above the floor.
- Finish above floor: measure 50–100mm past the sill.
Calculating Panel Size
- Each overlapping panel requires a 70mm overlap.
- Multiply 70mm by the number of overlaps.
- Add overlap total to window width.
- Divide the total width by the number of panels.
- This gives you individual panel width.
Example: if your Blind(Track) size is 3000 MM with 5 panels
Now, multiply the 70mm overlap by the number of times the panels overlap. This gives you the total measurement of overlap. So, you will have 5 total panels, including 1 overlapping panel, so you can say you have 4 panels.
70mm X 4 panels = 280 mm. Now add that number to your track size, which is 3000MM
so, 3000 + 280 = 3280. Now divide by your total number of panels, which is 5.
3280 ÷ 5 = 656 MM is your final panel size.
so, 3000 + 280 = 3280. Now divide by your total number of panels, which is 5.
3280 ÷ 5 = 656 MM is your final panel size.
Formula
Total width of panels = Track width + overlap
Panel width = Total width ÷ number of panels
Overlap = 70mm × number of overlaps
