Plantation Shutter Measuring Guide
Please carefully measure your window opening before placing your Plantation Shutter order. Accurate measurements are essential to ensure a perfect fit.
Measure the width and height in multiple positions and use the smallest measurement for recess fit installations.
For face fit installations, allow enough overlap around the window frame for proper light control and privacy.
Measure the T-Post from left to right.
If the window has a mullion, measure only up to the starting edge of the vertical bar (frame), not past it.
This ensures the shutter panels align correctly with your existing window frame.
Ensure the mounting surface is level, strong, and suitable for screw fixing.
Use appropriate screws and wall plugs depending on your wall material such as timber, plaster, brick, concrete, or tile.
Always check frame depth requirements before ordering for recess fit shutters.
- TIMBER – Predrill holes and use suitable timber screws
- PLASTER – Use quality wall anchors for secure fixing
- BRICK / CONCRETE / TILE – Use masonry drill bits with appropriate plugs and screws
Please double-check all measurements before placing your order as Plantation Shutters are custom made and cannot be returned due to incorrect measurements.
